Whirlwind Weekend!

Did I have a fun weekend, or what?! Saturday morning my friend Christy and I drove over to Arlington for the Great American Scrapbook Convention. We spent a lot of time browsing all the vendors and checking out the goodies. As usual, I spend more than I intended to, but I did come home with some pretty neat items. One of those items was a new die that is made for that little green machine that I'm not allowed to talk about. What's so special about it? It's a die that uses quilling to complete the project.  Using Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive card stock, I created this beautiful little flower.  If I can get a few more of these made, I will be able to include a few on the door prize I'm making for this upcoming weekend's shoebox swap (a story for another day).

Sunday I drove back over to Arlington and spend the day with the wonderful Marianne Walker (http://ilikemarkers.blogspot.com), Sharon Harnist (http://www.paperfections.typepad.com/), and Jenn Balcer (http://jbalcer.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/).  Yup!  I am now a COPIC Certified Designer.  I even picked up a trick or two.  It's my mission this summer to get my craft studio reconfigured and to craft at least 3 times a week.  Once the new 2010-11 Idea Book and Catalog comes out on July 1st, I'm going to plan at least 3 stamp camps!

The other big news for the day is Apple's new iPhone 4!  I'm going to start working on the DH now to see if I can get him to upgrade and then let me take the new phone.  LOL....I'm so bad!

Until next time.....
